Shark Tank ABC

Jonathan Boos

Jonathan Boos, designer and owner of Sarasota accessories brand Würkin Stiffs, is scheduled to appear on ABC reality show Shark Tank at 9 p.m. this Sunday.
The show pairs multimillionaire tycoon types with entrepreneurs to hear product pitches.
This season’s “Sharks” include Dallas Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban, comedian Jeff Foxworthy and real estate investor Barbara Corcoran.
Boos’ products are magnetic collar stays called Power Stays.
A former general manager for an automotive collision franchise, Boos formed Würkin Stiffs in March of 2006 to sell Power Stays online. Now, his products are available at Tom James.
But the retail success hasn’t provided the working capital necessary to support the company’s growth.
Boos said he hopes to find an investor to support cash flow, infrastructure and expand the brand.
This is not Boos’ first time on television. He appeared on CNBC talk show the Big Idea with Donny Deutsch in 2007. He got a call from the producers of Shark Tank in September.
Boos put together a video audition in which he pitched himself and the company. Later he flew to Los Angeles to pitch to Shark Tank producers. He learned he would be on the show about four weeks ago.
“You’ve got to stand on your own two feet and know what your product stands for and what you stand for,” Boos said. “If you don’t, if you waiver, you get eaten alive.”
The episode is scheduled to air again on April 22.
