Boys With A Purpose Look Great With Tom James Company Neckwear

Doug Oyer and Michele Stephens, representatives from Tom James Company, will present Dr. Abigail Woods and members of the Boys With A Purpose Club with the ties during a presentation ceremony at Memminger Elementary School. Tom James is the world’s largest maker of custom suits, shirts and ties. Founded fifty years ago in Nashville, TN, the company now operates 105 offices worldwide, including  London, Sydney and Dubai as well as over 90 locations here in the US. In addition, through their Project Pinstripe campaign, Tom James supports various youth programs across the nation and recognizes the importance of today’s youth making a great first impression in their world.

Communities In Schools of the Charleston Area, in partnership with Charleston County School District, launched the Boys With A Purpose Club at Memminger Elementary School. Raymond Nelson, the Communities In Schools Student Support Specialist and Mr. Kenneth Joyner, a 4th grade teacher at Memminger Elementary School, established the Boys with a Purpose Club, which is designed specifically for young male students. The purpose of the club (one of a number of similar groups coordinated by CIS Student Support Specialists in the schools CIS serves) is to teach young men how to dress and conduct themselves like gentlemen. The club meets once a week and members are taught how to properly shake hands, open doors, make eye contact and address someone older with respect. The motto for this group is “look good, feel good, do good.”
